        Houses of Parliament – in 1835 and from 1844 Pugin prepared extensive designs and drawings
        for Sir Charles Barry’s Houses of Parliament scheme
        King Edward VI Grammar School, Birmingham 1835 – demolished; one fragment remaining
        at the school’s new site in Edgbaston
        Alton Towers, from 1837 until 1852: various additions and decorative schemes – all
        demolished
        Taymouth Castle, 1839 – extant
        Chirk Castle, Chirk 1846 – extant
        Burton Closes, Bakewell 1847 – partially extant; now a residential home
        Eastnor Castle, Ledbury 1849 – extant
        Throughout his working life, Pugin contributed bespoke and catalogue designs to Hardman
        (metalwork; stained glass windows); Crace (furniture/papers/fabrics); and Minton (tiles)
